Cheng Yue Montessori Kindergarten is built upon the educational philosophy of “respecting each child’s pace and exploration.” The school aims to create an environment where children can learn with confidence and grow freely. Through integrated spatial and furniture design, the kindergarten sought to create a natural, minimalist atmosphere filled with educational meaning — allowing children to develop order, independence, and concentration through everyday experiences.
Designing Every Detail from a Child’s Perspective
During the early planning stage, Cheng Yue Kindergarten proposed several key requirements

- 02Furniture should balance safety and aesthetics, featuring rounded corners, low-formaldehyde materials, and natural textures.
- 03Each classroom should include customized furniture based on its function, including learning areas, storage spaces, health rooms, and public areas.
- 04Spatial flow should support interaction between teachers and children while maintaining an open yet organized environment.
